Terms and Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) carefully before booking or renting equipment from Awono Event Rentals (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By making a reservation, you (“Client,” “Customer,” or “Renter”) agree to be bound by these Terms.


1. Rental Agreement

All rentals are subject to availability and acceptance of these Terms. A rental agreement is formed once a deposit or payment is received, confirming your reservation.

  • The person signing or submitting the rental order is responsible for all      equipment rented and any associated charges. 
  • Prices, policies, and availability are subject to change without notice until a      booking is confirmed.


2. Payment Terms

  • A 50% deposit is required to confirm all reservations. 
  • The remaining balance must be paid no later than 7 days before the event. 
  • For bookings made within 7 days of the event, full payment is required at the time of booking. 
  • Acceptable payment methods include credit/debit card, bank transfer, or approved digital payment. 

Failure to make timely payment may result in cancellation without refund of the deposit.


3. Delivery, Setup, and Pickup

  • Delivery and setup are included. 
  • Delivery and pickup times will be scheduled in advance. The client must ensure access to the venue at those times. 
  • Additional labor charges may apply for stairs, long carry distances, or delays beyond the control of Awono Event Rentals.


4. Equipment Care and Responsibility

  • The Client assumes full responsibility for the rented equipment from the time of delivery until pickup. 
  • Equipment must not be moved to another location or used for unlawful purposes. 
  • The Client agrees to return all items in the same condition as received (normal wear accepted). 
  • Missing, damaged, or heavily soiled items will incur repair or replacement fees. Fee amount determined at the discretion of Awono Luxe Rental. 

Examples of chargeable damages:

  • Torn linens, broken chairs/tables, water damage, or burns. 
  • Cleaning fees for excessive stains, mud, or glitter. 


5. Loss or Damage

  • The Client is liable for replacement cost of lost or damaged items. 
  • If items are not ready for pickup, additional rental charges may apply. 
  • Replacement costs will be invoiced within 5 business days of pickup and must be paid within 7 days. 


6. Weather Policy

  • The Client is responsible for ensuring tent and equipment safety in case of      weather changes. 
  • Awono Luxe Event Rentals is not responsible for weather-related damages or cancellations once delivery/setup has occurred. 
  • For outdoor events, tents and coverings should be secured before heavy winds or rain. 


7. Liability

  • Awono Luxe Event Rentals is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from the use of rented equipment, whether negligent or otherwise. 
  • The Client agrees to hold Awono Luxe Event Rentals harmless from any claims related to the event, venue, or participants. 


8. Changes and Substitutions

  • Awono Luxe Event Rentals reserves the right to substitute comparable items of equal      or greater value when necessary due to stock availability. 
  • Clients  will be notified of any significant substitutions prior to delivery. 


9. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our control, including weather, acts of nature, government orders, or transportation disruptions.


10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina. Any disputes will be resolved in the Durham County Court.


11. Acceptance of Terms

By booking with Awono Luxe Event Rentals, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

 

  • More than 14 days before event: 75% of total payment refunded.
     
  • 7–14 days before event: 50% refund.
     
  • Less than 7 days before event: No refund (deposit and balance are non-refundable).
     
  • Refunds will not be issued for unused items or changes made after delivery.
     
  • Weather-related cancellations are not exempt unless mutually agreed upon in writing.
